Description :
AEM rubber, also known as Ethylene-acrylic elastomer, is a synthetic copolymer made from ethylene, methyl acrylate, and a small amount of a carboxylic acid-containing monomer. The ethylene imparts good low temperature properties, while the acrylic portion improves the oil resistance. It has the ability to withstand harsh environments and maintain its physical properties, making it a reliable choice for various applications.
Advantages :
Excellent resistance to transmission fluids, water and glycol mixes. Good dynamic properties over a wide temperature range. Excellent vibration dampening.
Applications :
Primarily used in the automotive industry, specifically for under-the-hood applications such as hoses, gaskets, seals, o-rings and belts.
